Instead of being able to walk with an erect posture, kids would tend to lean forward to regain balance and assume the posture of a hunchback. This is not good for the body especially when the weight is not equally distributed on their shoulders. - Scoliosis, Kyphosis and other misalignment of the bones- Since heavy weight and not properly distributing the weight can cause poor body structure, doing this all the time would also deform the bone. They can add damage to the bones and eventually damage the normal curves of the bones or adding curves to places where it should not be. If backpacks for kids are not properly worn and overloaded, these will be some of the malformations in the body that can be encountered. Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature in the spine while Kyphosis is an exaggerated curve in the spine.
- Osteoarthritis- Because of the malformation caused by heavy backpack for women , there will be myriad of symptoms encountered by the human being. There will be changes in the normal movement of fluids and bones are weakened. So if you allow your kids to keep on carrying heavy loads, then they will suffer the consequences of this degenerative disease as they grow old.
